Chapter Thirty-Two Dirk was on the balcony of his suite in the downtown Hilton. He had just enjoyed a late dinner of smoked salmon, cream cheese, grapes, and a fresh bagel. He sat with his feet propped on the railing and settled in, enjoying the City lights reflecting off the bay. He was enjoying the last of his Beaujolais accompanied with a small cigar. He sighed deeply and was slipping happily into the zen of life’s so good when his cell phone vibrated in his jacket pocket. Damn. He had forgotten to turn the bloody thing off. Dirk looked at the call display. Christ, it was Sisco. “They cheated me!” “Who cheated you, Sisco?” “This guy at the poker game. And that b***h too. She’s part of it, I’ll tell you that. I saw a picture of both of them, together. She was giving him an eyeful. N
