Mitz giggled. A delightful sound that reminded Kathrine of just how young Mitz was. “He’s a guy from high school. That’s where we first met. We even dated for awhile, but I thought he was kinda immature, you know? But he was always polite. Attentive. Anyway, I graduated and left town and didn’t give him a second thought. Then I arrive back, last week, and who calls? First thing? Someone told him I was coming home; spell that M-O-M, by the way...” Mitz giggled again.
“And it’s working out?” Kathrine asked.
“We see each other every day. Spend all our spare time together. He has really matured... and filled out!”
“That’s important... I mean matured.”
“He told me that he has been waiting for me to come back home. Isn’t that sweet?”
