He dragged his feet with us, refused to answer many questions but did say he said he was an insurance salesman making cold calls…and then the mouthpiece walked through the door.” “You couldn’t hold him.” Frank shook his head. “We didn’t have enough. He and his major-league lawyer walked out the door, Mr. Burns got in a cab and got on his plane, I assume, and that was the last we ever saw of him.” “Did you follow up on the information you did have?” “Sure. Guess what. We couldn’t find any trace of an insurance man named Arthur Burns from Waukegan or anywhere else. We turned up a few guys with the name but they didn’t match
