The shock!!

Dooshi's POV

I can't believe what I'm hearing right now. I mean this only happens in my romance novels and movies. What are the odds that you find out you haven't been living with your real parents on your 18th birthday!!!! I mean I had considered it sometimes when I was angry at my parents but I never really meant it. I am my mother's replica! Or my fake mother's replica if you could say.

"I'm so sorry Dooshi, I know this seems hard on you but you're actually of age to know the truth", my father, now fake father continued.

It was the 10th of August and I was just peacefully replying birthday wishes from my friends when my parents walked into the sitting room of our 3 bedroom bungalow to speak with me. I was expecting some kind of surprise or talk about being an adult until they dropped this bombshell on me.

"I'm sorry dad, what exactly is going on? Who are my real parents then? Why am I living with you then and I hope this isn't some huge prank?" I was so dumfounded. "Well", my dad began, “your dad is extremely wealthy, he was a friend of mine before he became rich but he met your mum and they had a relationship. She wasn't ready for parenthood so she left you with him at the same time he was starting to become wealthy. He decided he couldn't take care of you and asked me to since I was already married then". He paused and looked at me, I nodded for him to continue. "He promised that he was going to come and see you every month and send money for upkeep but after 4 months, he suddenly stopped. No phone calls, no messages, no visits, didn't reply or return mine either. I would've thought something bad happened to him except that I saw him on television. I tried visiting either but to no avail". I inhaled sharply, and started pacing the room. So what now, I asked. My mum spoke for the first time since the conversation “he wants to see you, reconcile and apologize, he wants you to come home".

Was I mad, yes! Was I livid, yes! Was a tiny bit of me happy that my dad was super rich, yes!! Anyways, I asked my dad to set up a meeting with him, but I wasn't going to leave my parents just like that.
