Winter’s body reacted before her brain, and she flew into his arms. Their lips met as tears poured down her cheeks. The kiss went on and on, those long months of longing faded away as they clung to each other.
When finally they broke apart, breathless, Winter shook her head in disbelief. “What are you doing here? How are you here?”
“Subterfuge and a lot of strange, small airports. But I had to see you.” He stroked her hair away from her face. “God, just to hold you in my arms is heaven.”
