There were shards of glass all around her. Stained with blood. But Abigail ignored the blood and the pain as she knelled on them. Lost in her thoughts she didn't notice the cocoon of darkness that appeared around her and covered her entirely. As Abigail rose to her feet the miasma evaporated and black winds erupted from her back. She touched her forehead and found a pair of horns there. She was now one of the fallen. Abigail had left humanity behind her entirely and the light within her had died. She had heard that a Nephilim could transform to fully embrace one part of their duality and give up on the other but she had never believed such stories.
