FLASHBACK- FOUR WEEKS AGO
“f**k, f**k, f**k!!”
I punch the wall in an all-out rage and place my hands on my waist, my chest heaving from physical exertion.
“Boss!!” I hear Joss' voice call out from the other side of the door.
“In here!” I call back, watching as the door swings open and she and Art make their way inside hurriedly.
Their eyes scan our surroundings and Joss’ shoulders slump.
“s**t. We were too late,” she says in disappointment.
