Abby’s POV
I close the door after saying goodnight to my dad. Sure, our conversation tonight was shocking to say the least, but for the first time in days I feel like I have a little clarity on my new circumstances. I tried to get information from Ben back at the hospital, but anytime I would bring up the subject he would change it completely. I guess now I know why. He wanted my dad to explain everything to me. I understand it but I can’t say that the fact he kept it secret from me doesn’t sting just a little. This isn’t the first time in our short whirlwind of a romance that he has kept things from me and I do have to admit that it worries me a little.
“He’s our mate, Abby. You can trust him! The Moon Goddess doesn’t make mistakes!” Liberty says encouragingly in my head.
