Chapter Sixteen
Matteo's POV
"If we use this to approach investors, they wouldn't be happy. They would pull out before we can even blink an eye. This is a risky move, and I don't sanction it... "
As I sat in the room, my mind drifted in and out. I tried so hard to pay attention to what my father, and the rest of the board of directors were saying, but my mind just wasn't there.
I knew I should focus. I was going to be in charge if the business one day. My father was already letting me make decisions. But no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get myself to be mentally present as I was physically. I zoned in and out, my mind a jumbled mess. It would seem like I was am amateur and hadn't attended a business meeting before, the terms sounding so foreign in my ears.
