The Storm

The morning sun rose over the Harbor, but the sky was heavy with clouds.

Adrian stood at the window of the Sunset Bar, watching the city wake up. The streets were quiet, too quiet. The shops were closed, the docks were empty, the children were inside. It was a scene of tension and fear, a stark contrast to the peace and prosperity they had fought for.

Adrian nodded. "Then let's go. We've got a war to prepare for."

The community center was filled with people.

The crowd murmured in agreement.

He closed the book and set it aside.
