Flammia's POV
"Mia? are you there? it's me, Samantha" I heard samantha as she knocks to my door. I felt very heavy these days and its not really good for my upcoming finals. Hazily, I got up and open the door for her, then her bright smile greeted me. She's my bestfriend for almost half of our lives, even though we live across each other she still visit me. So I let her enter to my humble house and sat again, now I feel nauseous
"Hi! you don't look good, are you okay?" she asked and caress my tummy. She always do that whenever she visit me from time to time, I find it comforting though.
"I'm fine, thanks" I said and comb my hair. It's 5 in the morning when samantha barged in to my house.
"anyway where's your brother? you craving for anything?" she asked
"he's sleeping upstairs. Not at all, my taste buds is fine, its just that I feel nauseous and dizy early in the morning, but I don't throw up or crave for something, isn't it weird?" I retorted. It's not that I want to throw up and crave for something but I want to experience those during my pregnancy.
"Fine then. That's odd but here I brought you some soup and fruits, you should eat this before it gets cold" she said and assist me. She's the only one I can lean on when the world turn its back at me
"sam, you fall from heaven for me" I said that made her laugh
"Oh shut up! heaven just drop me in here because I'm too gorgeous to handle" she jokingly said then laugh again
"you don't have a work?" I asked her as I dig into my food
"nah, I just got fired" she said casually that made me almost spill the food from my mouth
"wait, what?! why?" I asked then eyed her
"just chill ok? i'll spill the tea, alright? now continue what you're doing. So yeah I got fired, obviously the article I was working were about the illegal activities of the Regal Corp." she said.
Regal Corp. It is known for illegal activities and underground businesses, no doubt Samantha got fired. Regal's one of the most influencial family that exist for over a hundred of decades, the wealth and popularity they are holding is insane, their business all over the world take half the economy's. Their business is into Cars and Food. I know all of them because Samantha told me so. They just need evidences to frame them, lots of business tycoons want the Regal to crash down.
"But I got a new job now! HAHAHAHAHA and it is way more than wealthy than Regal's huh!" she retorted.
"Good enough, I hope you will last there" I said and finish my food.
Wealthy than Regal ah-huh? wait. wealthy than Regal? don't tell me....
"Altagracia!/Altagracia....." we said in unison, then she look at me accusingly like she know who I was thinking.
"Mia, it's the Ancía ok? not the one you are thinking right now, alright?" she said
"Sorry, hearing the Altagracia makes me scared, Sam. They are powerful enough to find me, even though I left without a trace, I'm still scared, sorry" I honestly said.
I know I am scared for nothing but I don't feel that 'that incident' is nothing at all, it is something that I should worry about, for the Altagracia's and its rivals.
"Hayy, I will promise to keep you safe around ok? no one will harm you, not my only sister!" she exclaimed then hug me.
This is the reason why I can't endure not tell her my condition. She cares for me like a mother would. Now I miss my mom even though she disown me.
"Now, now stop crying ok? you still have a class right? speaking of class, I guess you should stop studying for now, you can live with me instead, I will work for you and the baby!" she said that made me laugh.
She always do that, forcing me to live with her and to stop my study.
"I should stop studying for now, and gonna find a part time job to live" I said then look at her hopefully. I know she will not let me work. Not this time
"NO! final decision you will live with me and I will work hard, you can be my secretary as your part time and you can pay me back when you have enough money, isn't that good?" she hissed.
I knew it, she won't let me. My rent were going to expire next day so I need a new place to stay in, I don't have any money for paying the rent anymore.
"can you drop me at school then?" I asked her that made her eyes glimmer in happiness.
"you will drop? OK GOOD LET'S GO!" she excitedly said, she even shake her ass and dance.
"Let me get change first ok?" I said while laughing at her
My decision is final, I will stop studying for now, my doctor said that my pregnancy is weak and delicate enough to cause miscarriage. So I'm being careful, I don't want to loose my baby. Not my baby.
I hurriedly take a quick shower and fix my self, wearing white shirt and leggings paired up with high cut converse and tote bag, I brought jacket too since it's early in the morning yet its so cold outside.
I turn off my electricity switch then locked the door. We hop on Sam's car and she started the engine when we finish buckled up our seatbelt.
'I'm sure they will understand my situation' I said at the back of my mind.
