The sun is shining brightly, casting a pleasant glow over the stable yard, and I can’t help but feel a wave of happiness wash over me as I watch Ryder and Rayne. They’re outside, Sugar Plum standing patiently beside Ryder, her coat gleaming in the afternoon light. Ryder is rather animated but his voice calm and encouraging as he guides Rayne through some of the basics of riding. I’m leaning against the stable fence, a smile spreading across my face as I take in the scene.
Rayne’s laughter rings out, music to my ears, as she manages to get Sugar Plum to trot forward at a balances and even pace, lowering her neck gracefully, her joy infectious. “Look, Mom!
