There was a moment of stunned silence as Lisa's mother and Charly proceed Lisa's words. Lisa held her breath, her heart pounding in his chest as he awaited their reaction, insure of what to expect.
Charles' newspaper slipped from his fingers, forgotten on the floor as he stepped forward, his eyes wide with disbelief.
"A child?" he repeated, a child outside wedding? A child with no engagement or proposal? Too many questions asked by Lisa's brother.
