THEO didn't expect that Liza will be waiting for him at his doorstep. Mugto ang mga mata nito at halata ang pinagdaanang pagod.
"How long have you been here?" he asked. He took his keys and opened the door.

"You shouldn't be here."
"I know. Pero gusto kitang makita, Theo. S-Saan ka nagpunta? Sabi ng sekretarya mo, hindi ka pumasok sa opisina." Tumutok ang mga mata nito sa kamay niyang may benda. "What happened? Napa'no ang kamay mo?"
"This is nothing." Nagsalin siya ng whisky sa baso at agad uminom. "I went to Palawan."
"H-Ha? A-Anong ginawa mo roon?"
"Binalikan ko ang asawa ko."
