Chapter Five The London Times – September 17th. 1911 A joint Anglo/French force yesterday took the Arabian stronghold of the feudal lord, Sheik Ahmed Ben Hassan as part of the ongoing search for Mrs Arnold Middlemass (formerly: Lady Helen Templeton) and her husband, who were part of a caravan that left French Dominion for the purpose of a month’s exploration of the desert. Having been provided information from a rival Sheik that Mr and Mrs Middlemass, along with Mr Edmund Wilson, a Subaltern with the Royal Garrison Artillery, were being held in Sheik Hassan’s encampment, the Anglo/French force duly surrounded it after a night’s forced ride and were in place by the early hours of September 14th.
