Christy swore under her breath as she made her way down the hall. She had been so careful. How the hell had she managed to set off an alarm? Adrenaline rushed through her veins as she heard footsteps approaching. She had two minutes tops to respond; flight or fight. She chose flight, even though it pained her to do so. Why risk herself unnecessarily? She glanced up, sighing in relief as she saw the steel beams running parallel across the ceiling six feet above her head. It wouldn’t be the most comfortable spot, but it would have to do. Christy pushed of, easily reaching the beams.
