Dali’s eyes flickered open. The sunlight glowed right on her face as if highlighting her features. She groaned lightly, turning on the bed she lay on. Sitting in a chair by the bed was Celyn. The lashes on her eyes soaked with tears. Her eyes lingered on the frame of her friend. “Dali?” Her broken voice croaked out. Dali’s eyebrows knitted slightly. Using her hand, she shielded her face from the sun before darting her gaze around. It finally settled on Celyn. A small smile appeared on her face. “What are you doing here?” Dali asked in a soft voice, adjusting on her bed.
