Reginald's words left everyone stunned.
The bodyguards stopped shouting, their menacing glares giving way to wide-eyed disbelief as they stared at Ethan, frozen in place.
Even Maverick was dumbfounded. "Chief Anderson," he stammered, "what... what do you mean?"
Reginald gave a wry smile, shaking his head. "He knows the Wilsons and Mr. White. Last time he caused trouble, I got chewed out by the mayor for arresting him."
He recalled the incident at the Empyrean Hotel, when Donna, YSJ's top hostess, had called him out, only for the mayor to intervene on Ethan's behalf.
From that moment on, Reginald knew Ethan wasn't someone to mess with.
He couldn't afford to offend someone under the mayor's protection.
