The applause from the opening ceremony slowly faded as guests dispersed throughout the exhibition hall.
I returned to the VIP lounge with Ethan and the investment committee.
A large screen displayed profiles of the fashion brands participating in this year's expo.
One by one, the committee reviewed their notes.
"The fashion industry is growing faster than expected," one executive said.
"We should establish a long-term partnership with a luxury brand," another added.
I leaned back in my chair.
"Not just any brand."
The room fell silent.
"We're looking for a company that represents quality, innovation, and long-term value."
Ethan nodded.
"I've narrowed the list to the five most promising brands."
