A position I had been groomed for since childhood.
The board applauded my leadership.
Business magazines called me the youngest and most influential CEO in the country.
Investors fought for meetings with me.
Women chased after me.
None of it mattered.
Every achievement felt incomplete.
Because the only person I wanted to share them with had disappeared five years ago.
