The following afternoon, I arrived at Devereux Group earlier than usual.
The lobby buzzed with employees preparing for another busy day.
As I stepped out of the elevator, Ethan walked beside me with a tablet in hand.
"Sir, the organizers of the International Fashion Expo have confirmed your attendance for tomorrow's opening ceremony."
"Good."
"They've also requested that you present the keynote speech on behalf of Devereux Group."
"I'll do it."
Ethan nodded, making a note.
"And your meeting with the investment committee is at ten."
I continued walking toward my office.
For some reason, my thoughts drifted back to the little girl from yesterday.
"You need to meet my mommy."
A smile tugged at my lips.
She was certainly unforgettable.
