I was sure I stopped breathing, these type of things don't happen to simple girls like me. I nodded, and he smiled. "Now finish your meal before I walk you back to your office." He laid back on his chair and smirked.I chuckled and started to eat as if my sandwich was the most delicious thing ever. His smile made me want to do everything for him.When we stood at my building's entrance, I felt a bit nervous. Were we rushing this? Definitely.He caught my distracted look and took my hand gently in his. "Meadow... I think I am going a bit out of my mind here. I have always been too busy and too caught up on things to look at anything or anyone until I met you, and now I can't stop thinking about you... I just want to get to know you. But I don't want you to feel pushed. If you want me to stop just say no."He was just as insecure as I was. I reached up and kissed him, feeling my own lips burn in contact with his. He was surprised but didn't resist it, my heart was about to come out through my chest. I was about to pull back when I felt his arms wrap around me and hold me gently. He kissed me too! His lips moved on so softly against mine. We were like teenagers with innocent first kisses. When we broke apart, I was panting and felt as almost losing balance. He gently caressed my face, and a painful look showed in his eyes. "Now I really don't want to make that stupid trip..."*Caleb*I haven't stop pacing around my office as my third in command reported to me about our recovery operation. Craig has been nervous because we left him in charge. However, he understood the seriousness of the situation, and for his first solo, he has done rather well. I kept trying to focus but I still felt the tingles on my lips from our kiss."Alpha, we can continue this later if you feel the need to rest." I decided to text her wait till lunch time.Last night I called her and we talked for over an hour, and in that time we finally shared last names, and our job descriptions in more detail; we were both ashamed and amazed we didn't actually ask any of these questions when we first met.She was working for was a real estate agency. She was their connection to the sales agents. I, on the other hand, did lie a bit. I told her I was in the import/export business and I was the director, which was why I had times when I had to travel regularly and on short notice. What did I import and export? Well, when she asked me, I told her I was in Security services and equipment. I didn't lie that much, I really did that. She was impressed but not overly so.It was finally noon when I texted her back.*Caleb— I am dying to hear your honest thoughts. Sorry I took long to reply, I just met my boss' daughter, she came to town to visit her father, and he asked me to take her out to show her the city a bit. We will probably do that tomorrow. She seems like a sweet girl.
