Feeding and Family Time

The next morning, I get up and sees my mate sleeping heavily. Remembering last night brought a big smile to my face. I get up and get my clothes that I did not put back on last night back on. But then I felt my mouth very dry, and my throat giving me an uncomfortable burn. I gripped my throat as i can feel a strong burning heat. I immediately go and heads to our bathroom and looks in the first mirror that comes into view. My eyes turn from hazel to a bloody red color my hair does the same thing. I can feel myself losing my grip to keep myself under control. Then I can feel my vision is growing dark for the need for blood. I think my mate felt my distress because he ran into the bathroom.

I hissed at him. “Do not come any closer!!” I see the window just behind him. I need blood, but I do not want to feed from my mate and me possibly hurting him because I took too much or made him weak. Or hurting him from being bitten in general.

I look up into his eyes and he seems hurt to see me this way.

“Amber…” He says in almost a sad way. I shake my head with my lips quivering and looks at him. “m..move Jele…p…please…” He slowly sighs in defeat. I immediately take the opportunity to run. I run and jump making a clean landing on the ground. I use my vampire speed to run and make my way deep deep into the woods. I am close to the river because I can hear the water. Then , something takes my attention away and I can hear it was startled. I guess it was because of my fast approaching? I go after the four-legged animal and it seems to be a doe. A fully grown on at that.

It was running and I was chasing it. I felt my teeth extend and my blood red eyes were fixed on this deer. I could hear its quickening heart beat due to it running so fast. I could hear its breath as it inhaled and exhaled out her mouth. I quickly caught up to the deer and In one swift motion I grabbed her leg causing her to fall. I took the chance to hold it down, which I did with ease. I use one hand to hold down her chest and the other hand I hold down her neck and hisses just before I bite down hard on her neck. That lightly sweet burst of red goodness sent my senses a bit wild. She started kicking around at first, but I held her down good enough that she was not going anywhere. Soon enough after about a minute into feeding she started going limp. I bite down harder and fed faster.

I kept feeding until I felt satisfied. I stood and licked my lips clean of any blood around my lips. I move away from the dead carcass and I let my body take in that I just fed. After I take a few dep breaths I could feel my thirst finally start to die down. My vision felt a bit calmer and not so rigged. I could feel my teeth go back to normal, I could see my long brunette curls coming back. I could feel better and more in control of myself. Good. After calming down I felt the need to go back home to my mate and kids to put his mind at ease. I start walking home but I am enjoying the woods as I do so. I love the smell around me. My wolf always loves running around this area. She feels free.

I was getting so lost in my thoughts that I had not realized that I was standing back around my house. I sighed in content and made my way back to my front door. Afterward, I made my way into the kitchen and I was greeted by a massive bone crushing hug. I could feel the tingles and sparks as I was met with a bit of skin-to-skin contact. It was Jele. I could feel his worry as I hugged him back just as hard. Then I could hear him breathing me in. Then he looked at me with a shaky voice.

“You know I don’t like it when you go out all alone like that Amber... You never know if something bad is gonna happen.”

I looked at him after he speaks and put my hands on his face. What happened that day remembering him and I getting all beat up still haunts him. If we are being honest it still haunts me as well. He hardly ever lets me go out my own anymore. I cannot blame him for being like that, I take a deep breath and speaks. “Baby, I am sorry about leaving how I did a bit ago. and I am sorry for making you worry so much. Its just so hard to control my thirst sometimes. Especially when I am around you.” I let go of my hands on his face and I could see his facial features soften up a bit.

“I’m sorry baby, I just worry a lot. I do not want anything else happening to you. Or the kids.” I look at him in awe as he is open with me and its honestly turning him into a marshmallow. He looks at me and smiles a little as he can read my thoughts and my feet and legs turn into jellies. Oops. I start laughing when he sticks his tongue out at me from him being embarrassed that I called him a marshmallow. He pouts like a puppy and I look around in the kitchen. How about we go out to eat this afternoon. My mom will have the kids. His face lights up and nods and his mood changes completely . “That sounds lovely my queen.” I felt my knees tremble a bit when he called me “his queen” . I felt my cheeks heat up and I know he noticed because he just started smiling.

I notice he’s looking at me and get closer to him and kisses him gently and softly. “ don’t forget I have to have more work done with my water control. It’s so frustrating sometimes.” Jele wraps his arms around my waist “ Baby it’ll okay. Extra practice is always good. Since I have been your water teacher maybe we need to try a different method ?”

I seem curious in thought “ Different method? What could you mean by that ? There is an easier way to get a better grasp of it?” I start bombarding Jele with a bunch of questions and in return he giggles and responds, “Amber I know your curious but you just need to trust me. Okay ?”. I sigh and nods in defeat.

After that we both go into the living room and goes to watch some t.v. It wasn’t so long after we sat down that I heard Stephen open and closing his door. I can hear him going straight to the bathroom. He comes out and makes his way into the living room and runs when he sees Jele and I sitting on the couch. He hugged us both and smiles. “Morning mommy!” He looks Jele “Morning daddy!” We smile and Jele speaks first. “Morning buddy. Are you hungry? You want me to make you some breakfast?” A wide grin formed on his face and he nods quickly. Jele smiles as he picks him up and heads towards the kitchen.

I look down up the stairs and heads up towards Joselyns room, her room is at the end of the hall. I go in quietly and sees her eyes weak from just waking up. I smile as I get a look at her bed head as I approach her and sits on her bed. “Morning sweet heart. Your dad is making us breakfast.” She huffs and plops her head back on the pillow. “ I’m not available for service today. Please try again later.” She says and I laugh a bit at her humor. She sits back up and smiles as she sees me laugh. She gets out of bed and yawns as her and I go out of her room. She goes into the bathroom and brushes her hair and teeth. I head down stairs and I could smell the bacon he was cooking. It smelled heavenly despite eating my meal in the woods.

After about thirty minutes Jele made a hearty breakfast. Bacon, baby sausage links, over medium eggs, old fashioned grits, and flaky biscuits. Everything is laid on the table. Jele goes to get a couple of options for juice and I smile as I see my mate sitting down after putting the juices on the table. Joselyn sat on my side and I made her plate first. She got a little bit of everything and some apple juice. Jele served Stephen’s plate as well, he wanted apple juice instead so that’s what he got. We all ate and enjoyed each other’s company.

After our breakfast the kids get dressed to go outside and play. I am helping washing dishes as Jele cleans the stove and counter. “There...all done. Now let’s get there stuff packed so they can get ready to go to there nana’s” I say to Jele then he speaks “Then after that you and I are gonna be training hard for you to learn to handle water better.” I huff then sighs as I nod in agreement. I have a feeling today is gonna be a bit rough.
