Emily drove into a large hotel and I was quite confused. Were we going to a diner or a hotel? Or was the dinner at the hotel? I thought. But I didn't ask because the GPS hadn't announced our arrival at the destination. Still, I was somehow uneasy that we were in a hotel. Evelyn drove around to the back of the hotel and the way from it as if we were headed somewhere else, although we were still in the extensive hotel.
When we neared somewhere like a lake, I saw dim but colorful lights on the other side, illuminating structures I couldn't see clearly. Evelyn parked by a wooden bridge that led to the other side of the lake. She then alighted the car to open the door for me and I got out gently and slowly, looking around with scrutinizing eyes.
