Chapter 6-4

2168 Words

Only a few days passed before Sean darkened my doorway again. He was waiting on the stoop outside of my building when I came home Thursday night. Given that he was dressed in his bellman’s outfit, I figured he’d come straight from work. “You can’t just show up at my home unannounced, Sean,” I said as we climbed the stairs to my apartment. “I would have called first, but I don’t have your number,” he said. “I thought about calling your office at the college, but I figured you wouldn’t like that.” Once we were in my apartment, I gave him my cell number and asked him not to abuse it. “Don’t call me at three in the morning because you’re bored and you can’t sleep,” I told him. He laughed a little. “I won’t. I promise.” I asked if he was hungry and he told me he was, so I ordered a pizza.
