My hands were shaking when I pulled into the driveway of Jay’s house and cut the engine. During the drive to Sacramento, I felt fairly confident I was doing the right thing. But now that I was here, about to come face-to-face with the man who’d hurt me so terribly last year, the man I loved, I was scared. I sat in the car for a minute trying to calm myself before climbing out and heading to the blue arched front door. The house looked almost exactly as it had in the Google picture.
