Chapter 5Javi arrived alone at the shuttle berth Stanten’s message had directed him to, Aron having gone off to get his trunk back. He was glad he’d had Aron there to review the contract. All that legal stuff kind of flew over his head. But he still thought Stanten seemed like a nice lady. Could be stern, he supposed, but had a sparkle in her eye that said she also had a sense of humour. Most of his employers had found they needed a sense of humour to deal with having Javi on the payroll.
He wondered what time it was aboard the ship. Mealtime of some sort he hoped, because his stomach had finally overridden his emotions and demanded something more substantial than the cakes and pastries Aron had bought him a couple of times.
