Chapter 11Arien deposited their trunk in a locker, keeping only the satchel, then set out for deck six of Kamboja. A deck where the great ring of the centre of the station was lined with the more respectable sort of shops, eateries and bars. Only now they’d left the ship did they send a message to Tapuh. If anyone was tracking Tapuh their communications might be monitored, so if someone named Aron contacted Tapuh from the incoming Harriet Tubman it could bring potentially deadly attention to the ship. They didn’t send anything so straightforward as saying, “I’ve arrived and am waiting for you in this place, regards, Arien.” Because that would be tantamount to sending a message saying hurry, come and kill me before my bodyguard arrives if anyone was monitoring Tapuh’s communications.
