Chapter 23Javi had never had a coat like this one. He’d seen expensive clothes before, but hadn’t appreciated exactly what level of detail and finish went into a truly high-quality garment. The seams were all covered with soft tape that might well be silk. The weight of the thing alone told him it must be wool. Real wool, from actual sheep. The lining also felt like silk, the same colour as the coat itself, which was a dark moss-green, with turnback cuffs and collar and other detailing in teal.
“Javi?” Arien said, distracting him from marvelling at the coat he’d put on. “Everything okay?”
“Oh, what, yes. This is a really nice coat!”
