Chapter 7 Mason recognised a sound of pain when he heard one, and a second grunt from Kyle made him hesitate despite Kyle’s frosty stare remaining glued to the ceiling. Took a few seconds but at last Kyle’s gaze flicked to Mason’s face. “Been a while, that’s all. I want this.” “And I don’t want to hurt you.” He wasn’t sure that was true. Part of him wanted to hurt the whole damn world. Tears began to well in his eyes though the emotions bringing his sorrow alive were difficult to identify.
