s they ran behind them, some paladins left to fight were surrounded, without realizing it, by the reinforcement that had arrived. They did not give up. The shouts of courage and relief from the last paladins crossed the clearing and reached the group of Fortdar faintly inside the grove to the southwest. They turned back to look one last time at what was left of the outpost.
