EPISODE 7 A CALL FROM THE BOARDING SCHOOL

“Sarah the food will be done just a minute. ” Keira said hearing her coming down from the steps as she stairs the sauce in the sauce pan. She turned off the gas and started serving when she saw Sarah dressed in a blue evening gown which was just slightly above her knee with a black shoe highhees.

“Where are you going” Keira asked in surprise.

“ Nick invited me to a date”She replied with a blush

“Enjoy the night and remember, I'm not ready to become an aunt. ” Keira teased and walk Sarah to the door and as soon as they open the door Nickolas was there.

“Nick meet my Best friend Keira and Keira meet Nickolas my friend” Sarah introduced and they both shook hands. Soon after they left in Nickolas’ car. Even though Keira was a lone she was still happy for her friend.

The next day she got to work early, doing the pending work on her table just then she got a call, she picked up.

“Keira it is me Sofia, how are you” Sofia asked through the line.

“Oh Sofie, I'm fine and you? I have missed you so so much” Keira said.

“I miss you too. Keira, the authorities are asking me to pay my fees and they are threatening me that, if I don't pay the money, they will diboardinize me” Sofia cried out through the other end.

“Dont worry I was just hired in a law firm so by the end of the month I will receive my paycheck in I'll pay some parts of their money to come them down don't worry don't worry Sophie” Keira said.

“okay sister thank you so much"Sofia tanked her sister.

“Ms. Santos, the money needs to be paid now not by the end of the month. I'm giving you 2 days to pay the money you are owing otherwise your sister will be deboardingnized” The Principal of the boarding school said to Keira through the phone.

“But madam, how am I supposed to gather $60,000 in just 2 days, you know our situation very well, please have mercy” Keira begged.

“Look, Ms. Santos, just find a way to pay me that money in 2 days” The principal said and hung up.

“How oh my supposed to get that kind of money in just 2 days. Lord please help me through this my sister cannot be diboardinize. We have already gone through a lot please Lord find the way for me” Keira prayed. The rest of the day was just sad for her even when Alex showed up and cracked is silly jokes, she didn't laugh to it as usual. Alex new something was wrong and asked

“Is something wrong, why do you seem unhappy today”

“It is nothing Alex” Keira lied

“So you didn't really consider me as your friend do you”Alex asked with a sad face expression.

“Of course I do, Why will you even say that” Keira asked shocked.

“Then why won't you tell me your problems so that we can find a way to solve it together” Alex asked. Keira breath in and breath out and started talking.

“My sister is in a boarding school and we owe a lot of school fees and they are telling us to pay in two days or they will diboardinize her. But how I'm I suppose to get that money? The bank will not be willing to borrow me such amount since I don't have any property to put in place. My savings were not up to and I just sent 80% of it to her for her pocket money, the rest is for me to manage here. I don't know what to do Alex, And I can't just let my sister drope out of school” Keira said, tears running down her face. Alex handed her a couple of tissues across her office table and she took it and wipe her tears but they are still flowing.

“Dont cry, crying will not solve anything” Alex advices

“I can't help it Alex”She said through her tears. Alex hugged her and they remain in that position for a while and Keira's tears has stopped.

“I have an idea but I'm not sure...” Alex didn't finish his sentence before Keira jumped in.

“You don't have to be sure, just say it” She said desperately.

“Ask for a loan from the CEO”Alex said

“What?” she asked shocked

“Yes he is rich, and you guys have been talking lately. It is like you guys are friends” Alex suggested.

“Has anyone asked for a loan from him before” She asked not so sure about the idea.

“No one has ever asked for during my stay here though” Alex said.

“It has been only 2 weeks that I have been here, I'm not so sure he will loan me that much” Keira said disappointment all over her face.

“Keira just try. If it doesn't work out then we will find a better solution. Just pray to God for the best. Now let us go and have lunch okay” with much encouragement, Keira finally agreed to go to the restaurant and eat. She decided to go to the CEO's office later in the evening when she is submitting some files then she will get the chance to talk to him about the issue. As she was in her office, she keeps looking at the clock from time to time, feeling nervous about how she is going to talk to him. Every second feels like an hour to her making her palms sweat with nervousness and the fear of what his reaction will be like. After hours of waiting and waiting, she decided to go.
