I froze as I heard what Omar said. Omar's grandma was murdered? It wasn't an accident? And Omar believed that it was his fault? I pulled away from Omar's hug and held his arms. I looked at him and noticed how broken he looked. I wanted to ask Omar about it and what happened. But seeing Omar so broken, I didn't want to push the matter. Omar looked at me with guilt. "I . . . Don't want to keep this away from you, Yumna. But, wherever I remember what happened that day when grandma was murdered, I . . ." A tear slipped down his eyes. "I just don't know . . . It becomes so hard for me to talk about it . . . And . . . It all happened because of me . . ." I didn't let him finish. I put my finger on his lips to stop him from speaking. Omar looked at me. "I don't believe it," I whispered.
