"Yes grandma, I am good," I said in the phone as I began to walk towards the cafeteria. "How are you, grandma?"
"I am doing well, sweetie," grandma said in the phone. "Actually, um . . ."
I heard some female laughing voice coming out of another room.
I was confused. The voice was unfamiliar.
I have never heard that voice in the house before. Uncle never brought any woman home then who was that woman?
"Grandma, who is that woman?" I asked on the phone.
Grandma seemed like panicking. Her voice sounded feared. "Sweetie, I will talk to you later," grandma said.
"But grandma-"
"Bye honey," she said as she hung up the phone.
I sighed. I was in contact with grandma on a weekly bases but she never mentioned anything about uncle. I hoped she was alright.
