Chris waves at Parker, directing him to where he’s sitting in the midtown Manhattan eatery where they’re finally about to have lunch together. This is the first time for them to meet again after Mr. Douglas Forrester’s funeral almost a month earlier. After Parker had texted, it took Chris a couple of days to finally text back.
His insecurities held him back before he finally manned up. They then agreed to have lunch without Emma, just the two gentlemen first, for now. But even that, the timing was difficult since they’re both busy. It was especially so for Chris who had to deal with several things at once, like moving back to the East Coast and the transferring of power in his company.
But here they are now! Chris can’t believe how happy he is to see his best friend again. He stands up
