The driver said, "Miss, we've arrived."
She got out of the bus and entered the university with a fake smile. "Nothing happened that day. Just go," she told herself, and she entered the class.
The class president approached her and said, "So, you got the main role. Okay, now all the participants who are going to put on this stage drama, please come out and go to the practice room."
Everyone who was participating in the drama entered the room, took their roles, and began practicing. Then, the president came to the girl and offered, "I shall help you with that. Practice with me." Suyin was not comfortable with this but said nothing.
While they were practicing, a girl named Xiang grew jealous and said to herself, "Why does the president only help her?"
The president was a handsome and beautiful man named Kyto, the most famous man at school. When Kyto helped Suyin, Xiang's jealousy intensified. "I need to teach Suyin a lesson," she thought.
Nobody at the university dared to confront Suyin, but Xiang's father was the president of his country, so everyone was afraid of her. She called her friends and said, "Do you want something pleasant and good? Then come here." She also called Suyin to the same place.
This was a rough area, often frequented by gangsters. When her friends arrived, Xiang confronted Suyin. "You have guts! You dared to talk to my love! Nobody in this college has that nerve, you nut! I want to kill you and cut off the tongue you used to talk to my crush!"
Suyin retorted, "If you love your crush that much, then why doesn't he date you? Why does he talk to me? Rather than cutting my tongue, you should cut yours. I don't have a crush on your lover. Take a cage and put your crush into it; maybe then he'll talk only to you."
Xiang became furious. She pulled Suyin's hair and slapped her face. Xiang and her friends dragged Suyin into the bathroom and hurt her very badly. Injured and crying, Suyin left the bathroom, took leave from the university, and rode the bus home.
She started crying on the way. Her father had booked the entire bus just for her, so she began to cry loudly. She noticed a boy waiting at a bus station. She asked the driver to let him board.
The bus stopped, and the boy entered. He took a seat and sat down. On the way, Suyin started crying again. The boy came over and offered her a tissue. Seeing his kindness, Suyin hugged him and continued crying. The boy understood the situation and hugged her back to comfort her.
While she was crying, she fell asleep in his arms. When the boy looked at her face, he felt something strange. He asked the driver, "Where is her home? First, take the girl home, and then you can drop me at this address."
When the driver saw the address, he said, "This is the girl's home address!" So, the driver took the boy to that house.
When the boy entered, her father came forward and said, "You're finally here." Her mother also said, "You took too much time. I've been waiting for you."
It was then revealed that the boy was the son of a president. Suyin's mother told the nanny to take Suyin and put her to bed. "After she wakes up, take her to the mall and buy her ice cream."
Her parents seemed to ignore her injuries, but the boy intervened. "I'll take the girl to the bedroom. Where is her bedroom?"
He saw her injuries and asked the nanny for the medical kit. He applied medicine to her wounds. While she was sleeping, Suyin cried out, held the boy's hand, and pleaded, "Don't leave me." The boy stayed until she fell into a deep sleep, and then he quietly left her room.
Her parents then said, "Now, let's talk about business." They discussed their matter, and after the conversation, the boy returned to his home. On his way, he could only think about the beautiful moments he shared with the girl.
Suyin woke up and, unable to remember anything, went to the dining room and sat on a chair. She was sad during her meal because she was alone all the time. She remembered the best days when she was with her family, back when they were poor but shared good times during meals when she was four years old. Now, they only ate together one day a week, on Friday, but even then, they would quickly leave the food and go back to work. "I am so alone. I can't bear this," she thought.
After she finished eating, her maid took Suyin to the mall for ice cream. She saw a familiar face, but she couldn't remember who it was. She tried to chase them, but she failed.
Then, her maid called her and said, "Now we are heading home."
She went back to her room and began to learn her drama dialogues. Suddenly, she saw her mirror shining like the moon. In it, she saw a warrior.
He had a large physique, wore red armor, and was crossing a battlefield. He entered a grand hall where the king was waiting for him. "Finally, you are here," the king said. "You are so good at killing people."
The king continued, "Arden, you are the best with your sword. I am thankful to God for sending an angel to me. Now, every country in China is scared of my power. God bless you."
The king walked toward the warrior, took out his own sword, and put it on Arden's shoulder. The girl then noticed the same mirror in Arden's hand. She thought, "He never saw me."
The clock rang as the sun rose, and the mirror returned to its normal state.
She took a short nap and woke up at eleven o'clock for rehearsal, then got ready for the university. Upon entering, she met her enemy, Xiang, who stepped out and said, "So you're back, Master Ailin." She teased Suyin and tried to slap her, but the president arrived and said, "What are you doing? Don't mess with her, or I'll cut you off from the drama."
Xiang left but gave Suyin a dark smile. They practiced together, but Suyin lacked the confidence to handle the role. She tried again and again, but all in vain. The president came to her, put his hand on hers, and said, "Don't worry. I believe in you. You can do this. Believe me, you are special."
He hugged her. When he did, she suddenly remembered the boy from the bus, but she couldn't see his face. At that time, she had slept deeply in that boy's arms. She had felt so peaceful, and she had slept soundly.
She pushed the president away and completed her rehearsal. Afterward, she had only one thought: "I want to see Arden."
She went home. Upon entering her house, she was surprised to see her parents in the living room. "My parents only use this room on special occasions! What on earth is going on here?" she thought. She heard other voices but ignored them, entered her room, locked the door, and went to take a shower. After showering, she fell into a deep sleep.
Later, her maid opened the door and tried to wake her up, but Suyin was sleeping soundly. Then, the boy from the bus entered the room. He sat beside her and gently pushed away some hair that was irritating her face.
"What is the connection between you and me?" he murmured. "When I am near you, I feel both sadness and happiness. I don't understand this feeling."
As he said this, he put his hand on her face and touched her lips.
But the maid called out, "Madam is calling you! Please come here first. It's dinner time." "We'll talk about the engagement while eating," the mother said.
So, he left the room and sat at the dining chair to discuss the engagement. Her father said, "Next month is okay. Tell your parents and bring them next time. Okay, we'll invite your family next time. Please come again." The boy said, "Okay."
He finished his food and left the house to go to his company.
Every night, she woke up and saw her warrior. At that time, the mirror was in his hand, but this time, something unexpected happened. Her mom called her and asked, "Are you asleep or not?" Suyin loudly replied, "Yes, I'm about to sleep!"
The warrior in her room heard the voice and rushed toward the mirror. "Who are you?" he said.
The girl was shocked. She turned away from the mirror and went to her bed, pulling the blanket over her face. After two hours, she looked at the mirror again. This time, the warrior had put the mirror on his table and was watching it.
He saw the girl and experienced love at first sight. "Who are you?" he asked.
The girl replied, "Can you see me?"
The boy said, "I see you every night. I wanted to talk to you, but I thought you couldn't hear my voice, so I didn't."
Arden then asked, "What are you doing in this mirror?" Before saying anything, she remembered what Longxia had told him, so she said, "It's a long story. I'll tell you when I have time."
Arden asked, "Are you a fairy?"
Suyin said, "No, it's not like that. I am just a human like you, nothing special."
Arden asked, "What is your name?"
"My name is Suyin," she said. She felt happy talking to him.
"You know my name?" he asked.
Suyin replied, "Yes, your name is Arden."
The boy was shocked. "How do you know?" Then, Arden noticed a book and saw his own name in it. "Why is my name in this book?"
The girl said, "It's nothing."
She watched Arden every night, and they talked to each other. One day, she made clothes that looked just like his.
Arden said, "I notice that you are hiding something. I won't force you to tell me, but could you give me a hint?"
She said, "Okay, you won't fully understand, but I'll tell you this: I'm in university, and there's a program where you are the main role. I was chosen to perform the main role, which means I want to act like you for a few hours, nothing more."
Arden said, "I want to see that performance." He then added, "I will help you with that."
They talked to each other every night. They started to like each other more than their own lives. With only one week left before her performance, she practiced hard every night.
She thought her life was full of happiness, and she was very happy these days, but she knew life could not stay the same; happiness might not last.
On her final rehearsal day, the president invited her into the room and watched her performance. He was shocked that she was so confident while performing. She acted just like Arden.
