As I sat and waited for my plane to board I went to grab myself a couple snacks even though you couldn’t take none of them on the plane with you at all. I even went and bought a cup of coffee plus new headphones as well so I’d have something to do. Having to wait for your boarding time and number to be called out is a pain the a$$.
Now when you know it’s getting close to your boarding time you have to be ready and on time or the plane leaves with you and your stuck at the airport while your luggage is on the plane that left. After checking the time quite a bit on my phone I decided to head back to where Gate 1 was at and gather up my belongings to take on the plane with me so I wasn’t leaving anything behind. Once it hit 5:45am the lady at the desk began calling boarding military boarding numbers, handicap boarding numbers, then began calling boarding numbers 1-10.
After all of those people were boarded on the plane then she called boarding numbers 11-20 to board the plane. Again she called more boarding numbers and in that group of board numbers she called was mine. I got up and made my way to the line to wait to be boarded on the American Eagle flight. Finally after walking down the ramp and towards my plane I began to feel nervous, slightly scared and excited because I was going to meet a 36 year old man named Jason Daniel. Mind you I’m 31 years old and I wasn’t looking for any relationship but God opened a door for both of us and put us together for a very special reason and purpose.
Anyways, so once everyone is now boarded on the plane the pilot and co pilot start the plane up and we are ready to leave the airport. I was happy and excited to leave the airport and leaving Pennsylvania behind me as I head to another state for a vacation. Once the pilots got the plane on the runway we got ready for take off and me having a window seat where I could see the planes left wing was an awesome experience. Crappy part about planes is where the plane begins to gain speed so it can take off, and at the same time my nervousness and all got the best of me.
My thoughts on my mind were a jumbled mess and didn’t help me relax at all like I wanted to do. I kept hoping and praying the plane wasn’t going to crash or blow up or something along those lines. Well anyways, so now we are up in the air 40,000 feet up in the air and the view of the clouds make me think of giant marshmallow puffs. Now my stomach is growling as I’m on the plane hoping and praying nobody heard it with the loud noise that came from it. I asked a stewardess if I could please have something to eat. A tiny bag of pretzels and a small 3oz water was what I had and granted it wasn’t much but I’m grateful for it.
So knowing my plane I only had 1 layover I decide to try to sleep after eating and drinking the food I was given. To much to my surprise I couldn’t sleep at all due to the noise and being on an airplane that’s high up in the clouds. Our layover stop was in Dallas Fort Worth Texas Airport also known as DFW. Much to my surprise i hadn’t expected a huge airport and getting myself lost in such a big place nor having to ride the train too!
