Suddenly, Aira coughed and regained consciousness. She saw a blurry face above her.
She felt a drop of sweat fall onto her temple from the person above her. They picked her up and carried her into a room.
She was laid down on a more comfortable bed.
“You’re awake?” the guy asked.
The blurry figure came into focus, and Aira saw the deeply worried expression on their face.
She sat up slowly and suddenly felt warmth. She realized she was being tightly hugged.
She looked around and recognized the apartment. The person hugging her—was Alden.
Alden loosened his embrace. He felt incredibly relieved that the woman in front of him had regained consciousness.
