KAIDORA I never thought it was a big deal: not being able to express those negative thoughts and feelings in me. I thought they were right when people said a girl should never get angry, and especially a girl like me who didn't have many options. In middle school, I had large eyes, larger than most, and that made me the center of bullying. When I tried to fight back, they would hit me and laugh, saying I should be privileged that the boys were giving me attention. When I tried to defend myself, the girls would fake a shiver and whisper about how scary my eyes were, how I should never look at them with those eyes ever again.
