Prologue

Rachel “Who the f**k was he?” Cameron angrily asked. His sapphire blue eyes escalated. His face was red with fury. I swore his veins were about to explode. Honestly, he had nothing to do with it. It was my business. I was an adult now. I was twenty-one already, for goodness’ sake! I could do whatever I wanted. Cameron didn’t need to know everything despite what a controlling maniac he was. Not even my dad was as neurotic as he was. “Answer me!” he roared, jumping my body with his sudden roar. What the f**k? “Cameron, he—” And he suddenly kicked the chair hard. The poor wood was thrown away almost three feet from us. Jesus Christ, he was insane! “I ask you again, you puny girl. Who. The. f**k. Was. He?” “That’s none of your concern, Cameron. I can do whatever I want, with whoever I want, and I don’t need to report anything to you.” “Yes, you must. You are mine!” “I’m not your property, you f*****g menace!” His expression changed immediately. Cameron never liked it when I talked back at him. It angered him even more. Most importantly, when I was cursing. Usually, I would be scared of his ways of punishing me. Right now, I didn’t care. I was not the same sixteen-year-old girl he could fool around with. Cameron had gone out of the line. Too many times to count. “As far as I remember, you are mine, dolly.” “Don’t call me that.” “Why not? You like it, don’t you? Or should I call you my little pet?” “Stop! I’m not your doll! Not even your pet! And I’m sick of it! I’m tired of being your plaything, Cameron! If you want a toy, find someone else! You don’t really need me anyway. You have plenty of them out there.” He stood there in silence. His piercing blue eyes kept latching on me. Observing eyes, calculating my move. Until he walked closer to me. Slowly yet dominating. Just like what Cameron Greene usually did. “They are nothing like you,” he stated. No, I wouldn’t let him. I was far better than that. “I only want you.” “Cameron, stop…” “Stop me then, dolly.” As I moved back, my leg hit the edge of my bed. s**t. At a fast pace, he trapped me instantly with his six-foot-three body. Closing my only escape. He touched my cheek with his larger hand. Gently rubbing the skin. Touching my lips with his thumb. Instinctively moving myself to him. Wanting for more. Craving for his affection. Needing for his touches. And his sexy smirk entered my ears, waking me up instantly from my stupid dream. “See? Do you realize how much you want me, dolly? Your mouth is saying no, but your body is saying otherwise. Should I remind you how your body is more honest than your mouth?” His hand escaped to my neck, slightly grabbing it. “I must declare this to you one more f*****g time since your degraded brain is having a hard time remembering certain things,” he rudely said. He closed himself until I could smell his minty breath. “You. Are. f*****g. Mine!” And he suddenly pushed me to the bed. As I tried to crawl out of the bed, he grabbed my ankle and pulled me back to him. In an instant, pinning both of my hands. “Let go of me!” “Now, I’m going to ask you a couple of questions, and I demand you to answer them in less than three seconds. Three f*****g seconds, dolly. And you better answer it honestly,” he ordered. I struggled, but it only made him grip my wrists tighter as I hissed with pain. “Who was that man, Rachel?” “I told you, that’s none of your—” And he immediately turned me over and…spanked me. Did he just spank my ass? “What the f**k?” “I’ve told you, right? I want you to answer honestly. Considering my question is so easy, I ask you again, Miss Williams. Who was that man?” I really didn’t want to answer him. That man was not his concern. He was just… “Don’t make me spank your p***y next, Rach.” “He’s the Professor at my university. He’s teaching in my class.” There, I said it. Spanking my v****a? Hell, no! “A Professor, huh? What kind of a professor takes his student home?” “It was just a gratitude because I helped him.” He scoffed. “He wants what’s behind your skirt, little girl. You are too f*****g stupid for your own good.” “He won’t do that.” “Oh, really?” “Yes. He has a family.” “Cheating is not common anymore. Everybody can do that.” “Oh, like you?” “Hey! I’m not dating anyone. I can do whatever the f**k I want.” Somehow, his words wounded me. And I mean a lot. I knew what Cameron was doing behind my back. Occasionally sleeping with women who were willing to him. Although we were not dating, Cameron always declared me his belonging – his doll. However, he never allowed me to do anything I wanted or to spend my time with anyone – with men. Everything had to be based on what he wanted. He could do anything he wanted when I had to obey him. How unreasonable was that? “What’s wrong?” he asked, capturing my attention back. “Jealous, dolly?” “f**k, no.” “Oh? That’s too bad. Because…” he paused. With him moving closer to me, his warm breath on my neck shivered my body. His sandalwood entered my nostrils, stupidly calming me. “I want to see you burn in jealousy. I want to see how your pretty brown eyes flame in anger. And that’s why…I bring those ladies in front of you.” What? “You…did that on purpose?” He smirked. “Fun, right?” “Okay, you know what? Get off!” I struggled again. Cameron made no movement. “I said, let me go, you f*****g bastard! Do you think you can control me for the rest of your life? You are damn wrong, Greene! I can do whatever I want! I can be with anyone I like! You are not in control of my f*****g life, you control freak!” I hated this. I didn’t want to feel this way. Cameron only wanted to play me since the beginning – since our childhood. Cameron never loved me, and that…was f*****g painful! “I hate you, Cameron.” No, I love you. I love you so much. “Rachel…” “Just let me go, Cameron. Please, let me go.” I didn’t want to hear it anymore. I didn’t want to listen to his voice. I didn’t want to hear him being so gentle. This was not Cameron. Cameron Greene I knew, was heartless and a bastard. I wouldn’t fall for his tricks anymore. He couldn’t keep humiliating me like what he did to my hair when I was sixteen. And I felt the tears wash my face. Great, he’s going to laugh at me. Cameron loved me in tears. It brought him joy because he always found it hilarious to see me crying. Mission accomplished. He won again. But to my surprise, he spun me and wiped the tears away. Gently and carefully. Like he was scared to hurt me. Like I was something precious and fragile to him. Carefully opening my eyes, I saw how his usually mocking blue eyes were so soft and warm. Such gazes that I never had from him before. At least, not when he was portraying a good guy. “Cameron?” “You think I’m keeping you because I was playing with you?” he started. “Cam—” “You think I will let you go?” “W-What—” “I will definitely not allow that.” In a nanosecond, he crushed his lips on mine. Kissing me so sweetly. Something he never did before. Not even when he gave me my first kiss-my first kiss with Cameron was rough; he injured my lips. This time, he was taking his time, not pushing his usually demanding tongue. Exploring me. Tasting me. When he pulled away from me, his dark blue gems set straight on me like he knew where to look next. I’d always loved his eyes, blue, like the color of the gemstone. I couldn’t run away. I didn’t want to run away. And he declared, “Since the day you were born, you are mine, Rachel Williams.”
