I woke up this morning to Mason and Colby staring at me. It had been six months since I took over for James, since he was still in a coma showing no signs of waking up. It was now February.

“If your guy’s hope was to creep me out the moment I woke up, then mission accomplished.” I said as I sat up in my bed the two of them on my left side and sitting on my bed.

“That wasn’t the plan but we just realized that you’ve been getting a lot paler recently, like more so than usual.” Mason said.

“Yeah, kind of sickly chic.” Colby added as they looked at each other and nodded.

“Jee thanks you guys I feel so much better being compared to a sick person.” I rolled my eyes at their stupidity.

“I think he meant corpse like, wait no that’s worse, that came out wrong.” Mason said as his face changed t
