Chapter Eleven
Elise awoke to bright light shining down on her, caressing her body with gentle warmth. For a moment she simply lay there and relaxed, forgetting where she was for a moment.
When she remembered she had spent the night in Noel’s home and slept in his very bed, she opened her eyes and sat up. The memory of his heated kiss and strong words were still fresh in her mind. He was passionate, angry, afraid, and confusing as hell.
Shoving those thoughts aside, she looked around the room, admiring the rugged beauty of this place in the daylight. She stretched and yawned, yearning for a few more minutes of solitude, but forced herself out of the big bed.
