Chapter Two | I should've stayed in bed
Love is Complicated | Labrinth |

ɪ ᴅʀᴀɢɢᴇᴅ ᴍʏꜱᴇʟꜰ ᴅᴏᴡɴꜱᴛᴀɪʀꜱ wanting to go back t-to sleep. I think I'm sick, I'm not going to self diagnose because I could be sleepy because I stayed up watching TV shows I missed.
Food was already set and everyone was eating away, I j-joined them, they greeted me and we ate in con-conformable silence.
I-I guess everyone wasen't in a mood because of Lixten ab-ab-absence. He would always break the silence. Lixten haven't contacted me since Wednesday. I wasen't m-making a big deal be-because his mate did reject him. The school o-offered for him to move back but he c-continued to stay.
He didn't tell me the reason b-but I'm guessing became his mate is currently at our school.
After I'm finish I-I wash my dishes and made my way to school as perusual my brother ca-caaught up to me, ruining my alone time once again.
H-He talks about Armani.
30-minutes of walking we reached school. U-Ukiyo goes his separate way and I m-make my way to my locker.
As I'm walking there I small the most devine scent. It smelled like coconut and vanilla, I i-inhale more before turning the opposite direction.
I look behind me to look for anyone that stuck out and I didn't-didn't find them. I do feel thier anger, along with everyone else.
I've been avoiding that particular person for al-almost a week. I smelt them Tuesday when they new stu-students arrived.
The smell was coming-coming closer fast, so instead of making a full circle like I always do, I went upstairs. B-Biggest mistake of my life.
U-Usually when I retrace my steps, my scent is everywhere but now it's leaving my trail.
I made my way to a dead end hallway and turned to leave. W-When a large girl stepped in front of me.
She-She stood at 6'5 which is normal at our school. Due to our abnormal growth sprout. She had brown skin, d-dark brown eyes and big brown lips curled up into a devilish smile.
"Although I do enjoy the chase, I'm disappointed it went on for this long, little mate." She walked closer, which I took a step back, getting closer and closer to the wall.
"I don't like being ignored." I can tell, I thought. E-Eventually I stopped backing up, know she was standing very close in my per-personal space.
Her scent is driving me crazy. But I'm not going to entertain the idea of us until-until my wolf is on board, which won't be long.
"Little wolfie, why are you ignoring me." She stepped closer, now I had to s-step back to look into her b-beautiful eyes. They sparkle with mischief and enjoyment.
"Please talk to me." She begged unaware of m-my speech disorder.
Jesus, I thought, her dominance and anger was pushing off of her in w-waves. Even though it was directed to me, passing people were e-effected but not just as much.
I'm pretty sure this woman is used to getting what she wants.
"Speak!" She demanded. My mouth opened as I tried to form words. My h-hands went to my neck trying to remove the pain, it felt like some-someone was rubbing sandpaper against my throat.
Seeing my distressed s-she pulled back her dom-dominance. She tried to help me but I held up my hands. I coughed into my left hand and spit out blood.
"I-" I walked away from her, healing myself. She didn't b-bother to walk after me. Good I thought.
I huffed realizing I was late for class.

Making my way into the cafeteria, I smelt my mates scent. My h-head throb as my wolf began to connect. It hurts because he was d-disconnected for along time.
I know he was up but wasen't in the mood to talk; I don't how to explain it but he was fake sleeping.
I looked around for her but didn't spot her. Shrugg-gging I went into the line and paid for my lunch.
I was making my way out the cafeteria when my name was called. It sounded h-heavenly on her lips. I wish for her to say it again.
I looked in her direction to see her sitting with 6 people. 2 were my sisters, 3 were other students from this school, and 1 other I didn't know w-where she's from. I'm guessing she's a transfer from Aleken.
I left the cafeteria and made my way to my us-usual spot. It was the school's Greenhouse. It was the only isolated building. I d-didn't have to hear over 900 voices, talking away.
The Greenhouse also gives me comfort with the smell, s-something refreshing and natural. The kids in my school are a little too natural or artificial.
I had a good 5-minutes of silence before I heard foot-footsteps steps making their way here.
I already knew who it was.
I munched on my food as A-Aenar sat beside me. Staring holes into my face. I don't like attention but with her ... I didn't mind, although it made me nervous.
"I'm sorry, little mate." She apologized and took a fry off of my plate. I gav-gave her a glare b-before continuing to eat.
"Are you angry at me?" I shook my head.
She waved her hands and everything came to a stop. I l-looked at her in shock, speechless.
"I want to hear your voice, little mate." My m-mouth opens trying to form words.
"H-How did you do that?" I ask. Only powerful creatures have the ability to heal others. Although w-werewolves, vampires and shape-shifters can heal, they can only heal themselves.
Healing always comes with a price, like witches. They c-can heal but they take said person's injuries.
"I didn't heal you, I just cast an illusion." She said that, I re-realized that I could still feel my sore throat, that's why it's a tad bit difficult.
"I love the sound of your voice. I wish it wasn't temporary." Me too, I thought. I nod-nodded in agreement.
"Please use your voice."
"O-Okay." She smiled, showcasing her dimples and pearly teeth. Her eyes spar-sparkled in adoration. I would never get tired of seeing that.
"You have a g-gorgeous s-smile."
"Thank you, I wish to see yours." I gave her a fo-forced smile, which she laughed at.
"Oh, my little mate, you're adorable. I will have to make it my mmission to get a real smile from you." I nodded and went back to my food.
W-We sat in conformable silence. I enjoy her company ... so far, only because she kept stealing my b-beloved food.
