My name is Li Jin. I am a Duke and a general working under his majesty.
I’m a 23-year-old man. I have been under his majesty ever since I was 10. My mother died when I was young and my father the majesty and the other concubine despise me.
So my father sent me to the border.
And now I am back at the capital by my father’s order. He appointed me as a Duke. And give me a mission. This mission only last for 3 month.
At this time, I was tasked to find the real culprit behind the numerous murder and corruption that recently happened and active in the city.
Today, I planned to show and let the public know about my arrival at the capital with an intention of luring the culprit out of the shell.
Today is the day that I have been waiting and preparing to come.
I didn’t expect this time to come so fast.
I was sitting at the cauch while my subordinates suddenly arrived.
“Your Highness, everythings ready”
“I see, we’ll heed right now”
I said in a calm voice.
I walk towards the carriage, many of the guards followed me.

The coachman whipped the horses. The horses neigh and started to move forward.
After crossing several streets, they finally arrived in front of a well decorated pavilion-where the event will be held.
I get out of the carriage and walk towards the hallway.
“Who is this handsome man?”
“He is so dashing”
“I have no idea either”
“ Could it be Duke Li? I heard he had just returned to the capital?”
“He never showed in public, why would he be here?”
Those are some noise and gossip that I heard as I enter to the venue.
I just ignore it and continue walking until I got into the place.
Not long after, the event have started.
Numerous people came in and the event become even more crowded.
The discussion of the topic become even more interesting.
And while I’m in a concentration listening to the topic, something falls from above.
It turns out to be a wooden box.
The crowd turned their attention to the fallen piece and become panic.
They shouted in fear and run in an unprecedented direction which leads chaos.
Unexpectedly within a blink of an eye, I didn’t anticipate that something terrible would happen.
Due to my negligent, I didn’t observe that the big wooden beam from above rapidly falls towards me.
Within a blink of an eye the beam almost reach my body and it did not give me a time to react and think what to do.
Until a girl from the crowd run towards me and bump me.
I didn’t expect this girl to risk her life to save me.
After the incident, I saw my self under her body and her atop of mine.
I couldn’t take my eyes off as I see her beautiful face.
Her face was flawlessly smooth and her skin was white. She had a perfect nose, symmetrical eye brows, and plump lips. She was one of the of a rare woman with an incredible look.
I couldn’t take my eyes off to her and my world seems to stop.
“Sir, are you okay?”
Not until I heard her voice.
“Aa-aaa,yy-ess”.
As I said those words, she then walk out from the pavilion.
I was astonished by that girls performance.
And wondered what’s her purpose of doing so.
“Miss, what’s your name?”
I shouted before she completely vanished in my sight. Yet, she didn’t pay attention nor turn back.
“A-ahhmmmmm, Your highness a-are you okay!”
“I’m fine”
I woke in realization that my eyes are too glued to that woman recently.
“Investigate her”
I said while going back to the carriage to go back to my place where I stayed.
I got home and stay in bed early. Because I planned to visit the military camp.
