Amara swam to the ocean surface, let out an exhale, and gritted her teeth while creating a tide with her blue tail. She had never been as upset as she was some minutes ago. She didn't know what her parents were thinking to have suggested what they did.
Amara suspected their suggestion was for their interest even though they had said they were looking out for her.
Yet, she regretted running off in the manner she had done. Again, she was certain if she continued to be in the palace, she might do what she'd regret.
Hence, the reason she came to the surface as it often calms her nerves.
"Hmm," She hummed as she tilted her face to the sky. Frigid air caressed her rosy cheeks, and her eyes strayed to the cloudy sky.
Coming to the surface of the water and staring at the sky while relishing the cool wind on her face was what she always enjoyed doing. Aside from calming her raging emotions, it makes her forget her worries.
Her eyes stayed on the sky for a while, and she noticed it was not as blue as it always was; she wasn't expecting it to be since a storm had been predicted.
She let out a breath, and she realized she wasn't furious anymore. Holding a grudge wasn't her thing; she would rather talk things out and forget everything that happened.
But, she was aware that either she agreed to her parents' terms when she returned home, or they agreed to hers, whichever happened, she didn't want to argue anymore.
She only hoped she wasn't getting whisked off to a monster.
But then, her parents wouldn't do that to her. That, she was certain of.
Amara lurched as she felt a tingle in her tail. She swarmed to a nearby sea stack and rested her body on it before staring at her tail.
Nothing was out of the ordinary. It was as blue as ever, and no injury was on it as she had imagined. However, it continued to tingle, making her assume it was a premonition.
She believed her tail was trying to say something to her. Sometimes, she could be slow to grasp some things; it was only when her tail began to tingle in this same weird manner that she often took cautions.
"What now?" Amara mumbled, scowling. She gazed around, and her eyes narrowed as she noticed something coming from afar.
As she looked closer, she realized it wasn't just anything, it was a freaking tsunami! And what she had felt earlier before the tingling of her tail must have been an earthquake.
Earthquakes always precede a tsunami.
"Oh no!" She exclaimed, trying to control the wind that came hurtling towards her. However, it was too powerful for her, and she dived into the ocean before the tsunami got to her to prevent herself from getting washed ashore.
As soon as the destructive wave passed, Amara surfaced, and she followed it to see where it was heading and was careful not to fall into it. Even though she could control it, she wasn't ready to be battered by it.

Chance shook his head for the umpteenth time and clenched his hand as his eyes wandered around the almost empty beach.
Although it was a place of solace for him as it allowed him to have clear thoughts, it was, at the same time, one of the places he detested ever since the death of his mother.
He detested anything that had to do with large waters and never wandered around it.
All he desired to do was get his hands on the people that had caused him pain.
He always had the same thoughts every day, and he wondered when he would take action.
Chance was aware of how large the Merpeople clans were; he could never do it alone, and he didn't intend to. He needed to strategize, and that was what he had been doing for the past five hours when he arrived on the beach.
Even with the darkened cloud, he didn't care.
He stood, and his back popped as he stretched; his nostrils flared as the salty air wafted into them.
His ears perked up as he heard a distant sound, one of the waves crashing on rocks. As the sound got closer, he creased his brows and swirled.
His eyes narrowed, and he glimpsed what was making the loud noise. He was right; it was a wave, but not as he had thought.
From a far distance, he saw the huge wave gliding towards him, but it was a little too late as it caught up with him before he could react.
"s**t!" Chance exclaimed before he got swept away by the flood. As he was underwater, which he had a slight phobia of, he doubted he'd survive. He attempted to control the current of the water and swim up, but it was of no use.
His head reeled, and his eyes shut as his eyelids became heavy.
He glimpsed a bright light coming toward him. He attempted to open his eyes to see what it was; however, his vision got blurry, and his throat filled up with water.
His head smacked a sea stack, and he fell unconscious.
Amara raised her head out of the water, and she panted. She noticed the waves were still ahead of her, but not only that, she saw another figure standing by the shore with his back to the incoming destruction.
She only saw his back, and she noticed how toned it was. Better than most she had seen. In fact, the best. But admiring the hunky man wasn't what she should be doing.
She believed she should warn him about what was happening, but she doubted she would get to him in time before the wave did so.
Also, she wondered if he didn't feel any hunch as she had. Maybe humans didn't have such a gift.
Or perhaps it was only for a few people.
Amara once again dived into the deep blue sea and swam with all her might. When her head came up again, she let out a loud groan.
The wave had caught up with him and even hauled him as well. She saw him struggling to come up, but she knew it would be futile.
The only people who could swim across the Tsunami were merpeople, and they needed to be careful as well while doing that, or else they'd be torn into pieces.
Amara dived into the troubled water and swam to the mysterious man who was almost at the bottom of the sea.
She snatched him and controlled the current with her hands, taking him ashore.
Amara groaned as a wave hit her; she guarded the strange man with her body, holding him close to herself while she controlled the storm with her hands.
She didn't know why she wanted to save him, but the moment she wanted to let go, she saw his face and held him closer.
He was too beautiful to let go.
