Aubrey tried to scream, anytime she opened her mouth he forcefully intruded with his own.
It was a total violation, a horror. She felt sick, she tried to bite his tongue but he was quick enough to remove his mouth from her own.
She shouldn’t have come to this party. Freshman year college. She went out with a group of friends to celebrate.
The club was stuffy, with disco lights barely illuminating the room, she caught sight of Cole Wentworth, a senior. He was gorgeous and girls flocked around him like birds. He was built to perfection or so she thought with the body of an athlete and chocolate skin. He stood at the corner watching her every move, and drinking the liquid in his red cup, he seemed oblivious to the girls hovering around him. She smiled sheepishly, he quirked at her.
The music was loud and booming. She headed to the bar to get some water.
“You look beautiful angel,” was the voice that reverberated down her spine, his deep voice made her skin dance.
She turned to look at him. “You don’t look bad yourself,” she screamed at the top pf her lungs so he could hear her. She scanned the room looking for the friends she came with, but they were engulfed in the dancing to hardly notice her absence.
“Why don’t you come to the back, I have something to show you.” He said close to her ear.
He quickly dragged her along not waiting for her response, she followed him to the room by the back exit. Cole nodded at the bouncer, and he let them through, at first she thought nothing of it, just maybe he frequented here enough for them to know him.
The entered the room, it was dark, she heard the door closed shut and the lock clicked. She turned around to face him.
“What is it you wanted to show me.” Aubrey stuttered, fear creeping down her spine. Something doesn’t feel right. She wasn’t supposed to be here with him alone. She eyed the door purposefully.
“Never mind, I need to look for my friends, it’s getting late, I need to go home.” She said tensely, straightening her spine trying to show no fear.
Cole strode towards her like an animal ready to pounce on its prey, “Did I tell you how sexy you look in that dress?” Cole said lazily. Despite the dimly lit room she could see the blackness of his eyes.
Before she could catch her breath, her back slammed into the wall, and Cole was forcefully trying to kiss her. The room became hot, her breathing labored with her eminent struggle. She kneed him in the groin, and he grunted in pain. She quickly ran to the door, but it refused to open.
Pain like a thousand needles pierced her brain when he dragged her hair, and slammed her to the floor, her buttocks hit the floor hard. He felt the stinging pain of hard palm hitting her cheeks. Cole sat astride her.
Aubrey heard the tear of her fabric and cold air touching her bare breasts. She could feel her hear pounding in fear, it throbbed in her chest and thundered in hear ears. Her clothes were gone, she didn’t know how, but she knew she lay naked below Cole, and he was violently fondling her breasts, squeezing, and greedily suckling her n*****s.
Cole was big and strong. He released her breast briefly and struggled with the buckle of his belt. Aubrey thrashed around wildly, searching for any weapon to use to her rescue. She tried to push him off her, but he was too big. His palm sliding over stomach, desperately searching, until he cupped her s*x.
Then the real nightmare began, he lay atop of her and thrust a knee between her thighs and wedged them apart. The tears came pouring uncontrollably, she pleaded and begged but it fell on deaf ears.
She heard the zipper of his trousers and his swollen manhood made contact with her warm flesh, with one sudden thrust, he was inside her. Aubrey screamed! And the alarm went off.
Aubrey woke up to the sound of the alarm. That was five years ago, but it always felt like yesterday. Cole Wentworth had left a mark on her. She avoided intimacy like the plague. Her previous boyfriends had ended there relationships due to lack of intimacy. She never told anyone what happened that night even her best friend Tina. She had guarded her secret with her life.
She recalled the events of last night, and she slowly removed the covers of the bed, and headed straight to the bathroom for a quick shower. She was running late, and she had an exhibition to catch up with.
Her mother was still at the hospital, she cleared the necessary bills and quickly returned to the diner and promised to bring her back home today. She couldn’t tell her mother of the latest doctor’s report.
She quickly dried her hair, put on her outfit of cashmere sweater, white shirt with rolled up sleeves, and flayed pants. Styled her hair up in a messy bun, and her round glasses for effect, and a dab of lip gloss.
She opened her room, and the smell of bacon and eggs greeted her. Her best friend Tina was over by the kitchen making breakfast. Aubrey sat at the kitchen stool after grabbing a hot cup of coffee, Tina passed her a plate of bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese, bread, and orange juice.
“The doctor said she’s in stage 3, it is getting worse T, I don’t know what to do, how do I get 50k.” Aubrey said soberly.
“I have to pick her up today. With no insurance, it’s difficult.I can’t afford to lose her T.” Tears threatening to spill out of her eyes.
Tina strolled towards her to give her a hug, giving her a silent reassurance.

Michael stepped out of his black luxurious sports car, he handed the keys to the chauffer, and strolled into the gallery. He quickly picked up a flute of champagne from a passing waiter, and headed straight to where Simon stood, his fingers linked together with his pregnant wife Helen, staring intently at a piece of art on the wall.
“Seems overly crowded for an art exhibition.” He stated clearing his throat.
Simon turned around and clasped his shoulders “You made it, I was beginning to think you changed your mind.”
“I wouldn’t miss it, and besides I came to see Helen and apologize to her in person for dragging you out yesterday.” He chuckled and Helen smiled at him.
“Always the gentleman, Michael.” Helen smiled at him and gave him a hug, her protruding tummy visible through the sheer maxi gown.
“Let me introduce you to my sister Tasha, her art is being exhibited here.” Helen signaled her sister to come forward. They exchanged pleasantries and she told them a bit of the artwork.
“I’ll leave you in the capable hands of Miss Aubrey Green to show you around,” Tasha beckoned on Aubrey to come closer.
Michael’s finger circled the stem of the champagne flute absently listening to what the lady in front of him was saying. He turned his head to the opposite direction and then he saw her. He found himself staring at her, she made her way towards the pack.Dressed in white shirt, the sleeved rolled up to reveal the creamy skin, the trousers hugged her body like a second skin, and he hair packed in a messy bun to reveal oval face, straight nose, accented cheek bones, and a small pouty lip.
“Everyone this is Aubrey, Aubrey meet everyone.” Tasha said and dashed away.
She smiled awkwardly and adjusted her glasses. “My name is Aubrey Green, and I’ll be your guide today.” She smiled.
Michael was caught in a trance, he was mesmerized, her voice was melodic. Standing this close to her, he could see the brown of her eyes, they were like honey, and the way she touched the bridge of her glasses showed she was nervous. Her face was oddly familiar, he tried to recall where he had seen her face.
The girl from the traffic light.
