I couldn't help but burst into uncontrollable laughter as I stared at Kyle. "Pfft. Hahaha, money?! Damn, she's even better than Axel now."
"It's not funny, big sis," Kyle said, clearly unamused.
I tried to nod and keep my laughter in check, but it was quite the task. "I don't know why she would do this for money, big sis. They aren't rich, rich, but at least they lived comfortably. Besides, she could have asked me for anything, and I would have given it to her without hesitation."
Sigh... Did Kyle ever stop and consider that Maximus must have had some dirt on her? She must have lied about something from the beginning. "Kyle... Don't you think that Maximus had something on Miranda?"
