CHAPTER 7: CLUB NIGHT

“Lizzie… you’ve been distracted lately since you came back from work today,” Emma said, watching me carefully. “What’s wrong? What’s happening?”

I stared at her but didn’t reply.

Because I didn’t know what to say.

I couldn’t even explain it properly.

He had been running through my mind nonstop.

And I still didn’t even know his name the day we spoke—because I was too carried away by his presence.

The sound of my name on his lips kept echoing in my head.

And strangely…

I found myself wishing I could see him again.

I sat quietly, lost in thought.

Maybe… he was the CEO of the company we visited.

That thought only confused me more.

Why was I the one left out again?

“Lizzie!” Eva called from outside. “Hurry up to the kitchen and let’s prepare something together!”

I blinked, snapping out of my thoughts.

“Coming!” I replied.

I locked up my door and went to the kitchen.

Eva was already there, moving around energetically.

While we prepared the food, she kept glancing at me with that familiar curious smile.

“What’s going on?” she asked again.

“Nothing,” I said quickly.

She narrowed her eyes. “Spill it, Lizzie. I know something is going on.”

I sighed, setting down a plate.

“Fine…”

Her face immediately lit up. “Yes! I knew it.”

I hesitated for a moment before speaking.

“I met a pretty interesting guy yesterday at the company we went to.”

“Wow, Lizzie,” she said, grinning. “And you’re hiding this from me? Tell me everything.”

I rolled my eyes slightly.

“It’s not that deep,” I said. “I just met him. He looks… kind of cool. Handsome. And he has this expression…”

I paused, trying to find the right word.

“It should be scary,” I added slowly, “but somehow… I’m drawn to it.”

Eva gasped slightly. “O ooh, this sounds like a romantic thriller.”

I frowned. “Stop it, Eva. It’s not funny.”

“Of course it’s not funny,” she said with a teasing giggle. “Who said I was laughing?”

I shook my head, trying not to smile,

That reminds me Lizzie let's go out tonight you know it's Friday, Eva said with a giggle, so u can clear your mind off Jack and your new mysterious guy, let's go to the club

Eva u know I'm not a party girl I said to her so I don't think I'm going, you are not the judge of that Eva said to me so let's hurry and get ready for tonight

Sebastian POV

Vandermus passed a message today, Sebastian, Dorian said from the door stand, the witches are trying to get the celestial pot and you know the cost of that.

I turned to him slowly my eyes blood shot red, That's refreshing news being fully aware of how stressed I am already, I shot at him angrily

Don't yell at the poor wolf Alaric said walking in, he's only passing a message, and you know what will make you chill and think of a plan,

Both of them looked at each other as if the same thing was on their mind, and they both chuckled dramatically with their voice echoing the room

Dorian could only watch them helplessly, these two frenemies” he said shaking his head and moved away

Lizzie POV

Lizzie come on walk majestically like a queen in her spotlight and stop acting like a child” Eva complained with a little frown. Eva you should know this dress is too short and I'm not comfortable in heels, also this place has a lot of people, I protest.

Of course it has people, that's why we are here. Eva said brushing my shoulders “and also we are here to solve your guy problems" so let's have fun “she screamed pulling me while rushing into the club and all I could do was lazily follow suit.

There was dancing, music, drinks, and some strippers. “ God I can't believe Eva brought me here" I muttered to myself, Eva went to the dance floor and I found myself a couch to sit on, Honestly I was feeling uncomfortable but I had to focus on what brought me here and that is forgetting my boy problems, I decided to Flow the music, Eva brought drinks to me and we drank a lot beginning to lose myself, a young walked up to me with his hand outstretch offering to dance I took it and moved to the dance floor, I danced and danced until I finally lost it, I didn't know what I was doing again what I know something was wrong but I couldn't bring myself to stop whatever it was, I felt him leading me out of the club to God knows where,

Take me back to Eva I said in a drunken voice, oh I will but Eva said you should satisfy me first, The guy said to me teasingly and before I could comprehend what was happening I could feel the strap of my gown loosen
