Chapter 122: Too Much Play
Tong Eudora wandered outside the airport exit for an hour, during which she saw nothing but unfamiliar faces.
As midnight approached, the shrill sound of an ambulance siren suddenly pierced through the air.
At the sound, Tong Eudora's heart leaped into her throat. She followed the noise and saw an ambulance parked by the roadside. Her legs, almost acting on their own, carried her towards the ambulance.
Upon closer inspection, she realized it was just a patient being transferred from the plane, with the ambulance there to pick them up.
Tong Eudora suddenly felt a deep exhaustion. After one disappointment after another, she belatedly took out her phone to call Douglas Harrington again.
But, as before, Douglas Harrington's phone remained unreachable.
