I’m Right Here

She awoke to a stark-white room, in the bright lights it was almost blinding. Then, out of nowhere, pictures slowly appeared on the walls. In a confused state she scrambled to her feet and walked closer to the ones directly in front of her. A gasp escaped her as she took it all in. There were countless amounts of photos of her and Jungkook; like her memories were put on display for her to personally see. The first one she saw was of when they first met on their first day of college, then there was their first date and their first kiss. A laugh bubbled out off her and tears poured down her cheeks - she couldn't tell if they were happy tears or sad ones, maybe they were a mixture of both. Nevertheless, it was all so nostalgic. Will they ever be able to create new memories? Or is the end? She didn't want to find out. For a while she moved around the room, looking at all of the photos. Then it all started to fade, only to be replaced by the same hospital room she had been to before. Jungkook was still there, only this time he was wearing pale blue pyjamas, and sat solemnly by her bedside. His hand held hers and he stared into space, barely even blinking. Astral Sunhee stopped for a moment and watched him, so she didn't have to look at her battered form. "Jungkookie, are you eating properly? Have you rested? I'm so worried." She broke the silence and moved to his side. She didn't fail to notice him flinch when she started to speak. "You may hear me, but you might not see me. But that's ok. It's just so lonely here, yet being able to see you eases me." "I'll make sure to come back to you, alright? So just hang in there, Jungkook." "It's not me you should be worried about!" He suddenly burst out, shocking the both of them. "Damn it!" He ran his free hand through his hair and turned away from her again, focusing on the her on the bed. "Jungkook, don't ignore me please!" She leaned against the barrier and tried to get as close to him as possible. That was when she noticed something. The barrier seemed to have weakened and she could feel herself slipping through to the other side of it. Then she looked down at her hands and could see them becoming more solidified. This was it! All she had to do was find a way to get to the space in the in-between; reality and the astral plane. "If you pretend you can't hear me, I'll disappear for good. Do you want that?! I'm right here! You have to acknowledge that, or you'll lose me forever! Please! Listen to me! I'm right here!"
